FAQ

Common questions

Why are background notifications not working?

Background notifications depend on system permissions.

  • On iPhone, check Settings > Notifications > ProWorkout Builder & Timer.
  • On Android, check Settings > Apps > ProWorkout Builder & Timer > Notifications.
  • Make sure Do Not Disturb is not silencing the app.
  • Allow the app to keep running in the background if your device asks.
Can I use the timer while watching videos or using another app?

Yes. Start the workout, switch to another app, and the timer can continue using background notifications to keep you on schedule.

How do I create a custom workout?
  • Create one from scratch with your own exercises, durations, and rests.
  • Copy an existing workout and edit the duplicate to save time.
How do I edit or reorder workouts and exercises?

Use the workout list actions to edit existing items, then reorder workouts, exercises, or sets with the built-in move controls.

What is the difference between a Set and an Exercise?
  • Exercise: one activity, such as push-ups or a plank.
  • Set: a grouped block of exercises that can be repeated together.
What is the difference between timed and self-paced exercises?
  • Timed: the app counts down and advances automatically.
  • Self-paced: you decide when the step is finished.
Can I use this for Tabata, HIIT, or EMOM training?

Yes. The app is built for interval-based training as well as more flexible routines, including HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, circuits, and strength sessions.

How do I share a workout?

Use the share action on a workout to generate a short link, then send it through Messages, email, or any other sharing app.

How do I import a workout someone shared with me?

Open the shared link on your device and the app will import the workout for you.

Why is there a subscription?

Paid plans help support ongoing development, maintenance, and new product improvements.
